Finiquito Express — Severance Simulator

The Problem

Navigating Mexican Labor Law (Ley Federal del Trabajo) during a job termination is complex, stressful, and highly prone to calculation errors. Employees often struggle to determine whether they are receiving a fair legal severance (Liquidación) or a voluntary resignation payout (Finiquito). Existing online simulators are outdated, confusing, inaccessible, and fail to calculate critical proportional values like integration factors, vacation accruals, and seniority premiums under the latest LFT guidelines.

The Solution

We designed and built “Finiquito & Liquidación Express,” a premium, dark-first interactive simulator. Leveraging React and Tailwind CSS v4, the tool calculates complete labor benefits in real-time according to official 2026 regulations. The system handles complex LFT rules, including proportional aguinaldo, vacation dignity tables, seniority premiums capped at twice the minimum wage, and estimated ISR deductions. It also features a guided interactive tour powered by Framer Motion to walk users through advanced parameters (like integration overrides and border zone rates).
